nothing of consequence

well my family has left to go camping so i have the whole house to my self. Its so quite! Usually theres two cute little girls running around and my brother and his wife having their pleasant squabbles. But it feels nice to fully relax, and just lay here on the swing and listen to some Alicia Keys. I love that girl! She can make me cry and be happy in just one song haha. I wish I could see her in concert one day.

Well Ive been in Calgary for basically 6 weeks, and it was a huge change. I never really thought about being without my family, my girls or  my man. It is pretty lonely moving to a whole new city and having absolutely no friends. I thought that if i was really nice and spontaneous friends would just pop out of no where haha. It always seems like that in movies anyways. So its been a pretty lonely summer so far... but i am seeing Cody in two days. So I'm really excited for that, and Holly and Kevin are coming next week, and then school starts! So that's exciting; my first time in college.

Man how do ppl get followers on blog spot anyways? I mean its so hard to just fall on someone page, its kinda ridiculous haha.

Ive always wanted to start a YouTube channel but I'm not very funny, and not super good at anything in particular, oh well. Maybe in the future some time haha.

One Day by David Nicholls * warning; reveals basically the whole book *

I just red the book "One Day" by David Nicholls, and i don't even know how to feel about it :( it made me soooo sad and unsatisfied that i had to blog it out. I bought the book because the lady told me that is was a great love story but not like the normal ones that u see in movies, but a love story that is told over 20 years, which i thought was a cool concept. BUUUT, they didn't even get together after 3/4ths of the book, and then she dies two chapters later !!!!!!!!!!!! I was so mad!!!!! They finally admit that they have always loved each other, and are super happy and get married, and then she just gets hit by a car.... it was so depressing :( and then the man she fell in love with just is so depressed, but the author just tries to make u feel all better inside by showing the first day they met in better detail and shows that they were meant to be together just made me more mad...
The couple, Emma and Dexter, only got to spend like 4 years together, after 20 years of just pretending to be friends, and other marriages and boyfriends/girlfriends ( basically the whole book btw) OHH and they always have this HUGE sexual tension that is soo hard to bare as a reader haha. When they finally get together in Paris the author didn't even go into detail about how in love they were, but maybe that wasn't the intention of the author... it was a completely different type of love story, but idk, it was why too sad for my tastes, well maybe i just wanted to read a corny love novel. I do miss my boyfriend haha.

All in all i guess it was a good book, I'm still mad, but it was a good book.

people that get bible verse tatoos

This blog is about people that get tattoos that are not their religion or lifestyle, but mostly about this one girl that i know. So i will tell u guys about this girl first, she has never once said she believes in God, or lived a life without worldly things. She smokes, drinks, does drugs, has sex with her boyfriend, party's a lot. Which i honestly don't care about, she can so whatever she wants. But this girl gets a tattoo that has the bible verse, "trust in the lord with all your heart, in all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths". So naturally i asked her if she believes in God, and shes like " obviously, or else this tattoo would be pointless."

I was just confused... like who does that or acts like that. Its the exact same if some non-Asian person gets a Chinese tattoo, or any other culture that is not your own. I think that's lame and pointless, it makes you look stupid because you don't even know what ur talking about

Brittany Spears apparently got an Chinese tattoo that was supposed to mean "mystical" but i meant weird instead LOOOL, i thought that was hilarious. It just proves people don't think about what they're putting on their bodies.

In the new testament, Moses does say to not tattoo your body. But back i the mosaic times that was just to set yourself apart, like circumcision etc. But still i bet that chick didn't even know that either.

Propaganda in criminal minds

Criminal Minds is one of my favorite shows, and almost 100% of the time they always have to do a press release or whatever to see if they can get a reaction out of the killer. But a lot of the time they lie to the public to get that reaction. From what I can remember from social class, the media in the US is aloud to lie to the pubic. But from watching Criminal Minds I completely agreed with lying to everyone to catch the killer; whats a small lie if your saving people, right? But honestly, lying to people about having a killer on the loose in your neighbourhood, or lying about pedophiles being released from jail, or telling people nothing it going on when there is actually something HUGE that they're hiding, its just wrong. That's not saving us.

But on the other hand, alerting the public about serial killers, pedophiles, etc can cause unnecessary panic, and some people are extremely paranoid so that's probably not a good idea. But I'd rather be told the truth no matter how scary it might be.

Just watching that show is crazy propaganda! Its teaching people that its okay to be lied to by your government and the police that are supposed to be protecting you. Whats more powerful then knowledge? I cant believe I never made that connection before, when it was so plain in front my face.

extremist views

So me and my friend where having a deep conversation about religions and how people tend to think that Islam's religion is to blow up buildings and kill themselves in the process. And also other stereotypes like that, but in reality its not the religion that is telling them to do these things, its taking what the bible says to a whole new level; an extremist level. Christianity back in the day used to force its religion upon the native Americans, and also going to up to people that they don't even know and saying they're going to hell. Which in some way is true, but its way to extreme to go up to someone and say that. Nazism isn't a religion but is it probably the most extreme view known to man. To think that a person that has blond hair and blue is better then a person with brown hair and brown eyes, even though they're the same colour.

I honestly don't know any other examples LOL, but having and any extremist view in any religion or political standing is veery bad. People need to look at they're religion's and realise what they're bible/Koran etc is saying and not taking it to a whole new level. It is never right to kill any human being. It is completely wrong to kill innocent people even if your just trying to prove a point (which doesn't prove shit by the way) by bombing a subway station or something, and it is inhuman to kill a person because they are not the ideal human (blond,blue eyed,smart,no special needs, heterosexual, etc ) because there is not one person on this planet that is perfect, and it is never right to make a person change every aspect of their identity to go to heaven.

the marijuana (another rant)

So all the pot heads I know are always ranting and raving about how they want weed to be legalized, and wanting to vote for the green party LOL. Which I guess is cool if you think sitting around in your moms basement smoking weed enhances your ability to rap, drive, converse, get the women excited, eat, or whatever you think you do better. But honestly, it makes you look like a fool. No matter what your reasons are. Take my father for example: "im so stressed out", "I cant stand being around your mother" blah blah blah. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Dont just sit on your ass and cry and smoke weed until you cant feel feelings. If your unhappy do what makes u happy, if your stressed out go for a run or take up a boxing class.GROW UP.

Anyways back to the point, if the government legalized pot youd be paying $50.00 a gram or more instead of the normal $10.00 amount, therefore making our governments EXTREMELY rich while making you poor. Totally not worth it!

I just dont understand how people cannot see that they will be getting majorly ripped off! I dont see the point in legalizing it.
Also I bet the selling of weed from drug dealers will still be illegal even though the consumption of the drug wont be, therefore not really helping the drug dealers out of any charges they may have. And if you get caugh buying it from a person/place that is not legally aloud to sell marijuana, your in toruble my friend.

Abortion

So this topic has been on my heart for so long. Every time I hear of a poor girl getting an abortion because there is no way out makes me want to cry. I have a friend that has had multiple abortions without any remorse. I have no respect for people that can throw away human life like that. Personally I think fact that a two people can make another human being without any science or technology, but just love is so beautiful.
I believe that teenagers and other people now-a-days don't really understand what happens to a baby when you have an abortion or the after affects of that.


For those of you who do not know how an abortion is really preformed, they cut the baby into little tiny pieces and suck it out of your vagina, or burn the baby from the inside out depending on how far along you are on your pregnancy, and in some cases just throw the fetus in the garbage. So for one: to even consider doing that to a human being is murder, second: it is extremely invasive. And if a piece of that baby is left inside your tummy you get extremely sick and need surgery. Plus that's just disgusting! Having like a dead arm in you or something.


There are more options then just abortion. There are millions of couples out there that cant have children and are 100% ready and capable to take on the challenge to raising a child. Its just mind bottles me how the people that can have children just take advantage of something so special.


Lets just say you've had an abortion when u were a teenager, and basically forgot about it. Now your married and ready for a family, and once that baby comes out you begin to think of the one you killed, and every time you look at your baby your going to think of what you could of had and the life that didn't even get to see daylight.


A family member of mine got pregnant when she 17 years old and she was in her 12th year of high school. The news of this basically ruined a lot of things so of course she thought of getting an abortion. She went to the clinic twice but was never able to go threw with it. Now she has 16 year old boy who is the best person Ive ever met, and the smartest in his class. . Even though she didn't have an abortion, just the thought of it breaks her heart.


I do have to admit, though, if a young girl gets raped or some severe circumstances like that, I would want to get an abortion too. But not just because I wasn't careful or couldn't control myself or you did everything you could but it was just an accident.


Here are some facts about fetuses:
- By 8 weeks, when the embryo is only an inch long, the heart is already fully developed
- 2 weeks after conception the eyes begin to develop
- Teeth develop while in the womb
- Fingernails and toenails start to develop at 10 weeks, as well as the gender.
- At the 12th week the baby has all of the part necessary to experience pain, including the nerves, spinal cord and thalamus; the baby is nearing the end of the first trimester

Graffiti

So I was on the train the other day, and I noticed that there were signs inside of the train saying:
"I you see graffiti report it!
if you see someone doing graffiti, report it !
Call 9-1-1 "

What kind of waste of time is that? Honestly graffiti is quite beautiful and I'm so jealous of the people that can actually do all those cool designs with spray paint.

Calling 9-1-1 is such a waste of their time. I'd be surprised if someone did call and complain. It does suck though if someone writes stuff all over your house, cause there's no way that's coming off. If theres some drawings on trains or on the back of the house near the train tracks, it's awesome! I love seeing the graffiti. It makes the train ride a little less boring.

So basically that was just a rant about hoe people are wasting the 9-1-1 peoples time.

Drawin's Theory

So this is my first blog, and I've decided to post my thoughts on topics that are important to me and deserve discussion. I don't want to offend anyone but to just challenge theory's; prove them wrong if I can. And just blab about things that piss me off but I cant really say anything at that exact moment.

So my boyfriend told me that he doesn't necessarily believe in a God, but he believes that Darwin's theory makes sense (applying to humans). I, of course, strongly disagree and have sought out reasons why this theory cannot be supported.

For those of you who have no idea who Charles Darwin is, he was a scientist who, of course, discovered the Darwin Finches. He also believed the idea of natural selection, which means the animal with the most desirable traits will be most likely to reproduce and survive( "survival of the fittest"). Also the more famous notion; that man came from apes.

It is completely understandable for an individual to believe this. Apes can be as big as a person, and if you think about it they probably look the most human like, but it has been scientifically proven that us humans are 97% alike to apes BUT we are 99% alike to a mouse. So why don't people say we evolved from mice? Or the fact that a persons insides are almost identical to a pigs? For those reasons Darwin's theory doesn't make too much sense.

Also, if natural selection/evolving from apes, were to happen with humans, then us Canadians should be extremely hairy. Sometimes Canada can be up to -40, so if we had some of the same genes as an ape wouldn't seem logical that we should be growing more hair then the average person to help keep us warm?

Another point I thought of was our skin color. I don't believe there are Asian, African American, Romanian etc looking apes, that part doesn't even make sense! How is it possible for a person to get their ethnicity if we all evolved from the same animal.

Lastly, if you are an Asian, an African American, Spanish etc, and your family has lived in Canada for generations and generations don't you think eventually your skin color would be lighter then you mother or father (assuming that your parents are of the same ethnicity) ?

Those are all the points I thought of to try and disprove my boyfriends thinking. Even though the thought of humans coming from apes honestly does seem like it makes sense, these points make even more sense to me.
